You know what power sounds like when you come to Goodwood - it’s where motorsport takes over. There’s the Moto supercars, GP bikes, drag racers, rally cars, F1 machines, the Le Mans champions, not forgetting the infamous Hill Climb. World-class drivers and riders come from far and wide to make it one of the most prestigious motorsports events on our planet. This year, Goodwood turns 20 and as usual Nissan have set up camp, bringing with us the thrill of Nismo, the power of the GT-R and all the latest Nissan innovations.
The infamous Hill Climb. A steep, narrow, 1.16-mile course that reaches over 300ft. Goodwood wouldn’t be Goodwood with out it. Each day highly-skilled drivers take it on, testing their driving capabilities to the limit. The Nismo team are here among the famous and the fast, and some lucky Goodwooders will experience unleashed performance for themselves as they take on the Hill Climb in a Nismo car. If you haven’t experienced the Hill Climb atmosphere already, you need to - it’s intense.

We’ve been sharing our high-octane GT Academy happenings at Goodwood. Representing the GT-R - our ultimate sports car – is the GT-R MY13. The Juke Nismo, the 370Z Nismo and the 100 percent electric LEAF Nismo are all here too. One look at these tuned machines and you know what motorsports-derived performance is all about. Nismo, it’s our sports marque brought to you by Nissan Motorsports International. The Nismo Lab uses digital-age techniques to unleash the performance of our Nismo athletes. People have been putting their skills to the test in the Nismo games to qualify for the Lab and see if they’ve got what it takes to become a Nismo athlete. Some lucky Goodwooders will win the ultimate lab prize – their very own Nismo experience at Silverstone. The energetic Juke has also had the full Nismo treatment and is out on show in all its glory. Meet the world’s fastest electric car, the ZEOD RC - Zero Emissions On Demand Race Car. This mighty machine has been electrifying the world’s media since February, when Nissan CEO and Chairman in Japan Carlos Ghosn announced that it has been invited by Automobile Club de l’Ouest to compete in the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours. The ground-breaking ZEOD RC has been entered into the endurance race under ‘Garage 56’ entry – an additional spot on the grid for vehicles that showcase new and innovative technology. Goodwooders have been flocking to take a look at this pioneering race car that can reach colossal speeds of up to 300km/h.
Imagine this. A field of endless LED lights surrounds you, hidden sensors detect your movements and your surroundings change colour. Nissan exhibited innovation and excitement for everyone at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2013. Wildcard places were up for grabs at the GT Academy by proving your merit racing digitally head to head up the famous Goodwood hill, created exclusively for Nissan on the latest PS3 GT6 simulator. For the aspiring racer, further skills and aptitude tests identified the strongest candidates, who then had a chance to be fully evaluated as Nismo Athletes in the Nismo Pod simulator. A trip through a sensory light maze revealed the Nissan Note’s Safety Shield technology and ensured the thrills were accessible to everyone.
